Born in New York, Stallone attended school in Philadelphia, where he became interested in acting. He spent two years at the American College of Switzerland in Geneva. Back in the United States, he enrolled in drama at the University of Miami, where he took his first steps as a writer. During this period, Sylvester turned to screenwriting.
