Guns N 'Roses is a hard rock band founded in Los Angeles in March 1985. The group was formed by singer Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. The name derives from the combination of two very important bands in Hollywood, LA Guns and Hollywood Rose. His first concert was dated June 6, 1985 at the Troubador (Hollywood, California). So far they have sold 100 million copies.
Hollywood Rose was the band created by Jeffrey Isbell (Izzy Stradlin) and William Bruce Rose Jr (Axl Rose) after leaving Lafayette, Indiana and settling in Los Angeles. Later transformed into one of the most important bands in hard rock of the late eighties and early nineties: Guns N 'Roses.
After training in 1985 debuted as a band at the Troubadour Club, on his first tour called The Hell Tour clubs Seattle, Portland, Eugene, Sacramento and San Francisco. This tour not completed due to a malfunction in the van they were traveling forcing them to return to Los Angeles. Continued to do occasional gigs in Hollywood local getting some reputation. All lived and rehearsed in the same room.
